As times have been exceptionally tough everybody looks at new ways to save money. Cornerstone ladies organised a fun Swishing event for women of all ages at Christchurch on the 8th of November to link with the Community Hub run by Cornerstone Church. On the night £239 was raised for Helen Douglas House Charity in Thame.
Swishing is a fun event for ladies of all ages!
Over 40 ladies joined the event and had the opportunity to bring unwanted quality items of clothing, shoes and accessories and swap them with what others brought to the event. As well as clothe swapping ladies were also able to purchase from stalls selling cards, craft, beauty products, bags, books and gift items
Ulrike Kibble, Church Administrator and co-organiser of the event with Jane Ellis said, “we had a raffle on the evening and there was a Café area for relaxing with free refreshments and delicious cakes, as well as being able to chat and catch up with friends.”
The event was an inexpensive night out, supported recycling and raised money for a good cause with £239 for Helen & Douglas House a Charity that provides hospice care for Children and Young Adults.
