Preaching directly from the bible is at the heart of the sermons at Cornerstone, but if you were away and missed one or would like a sneak preview before you come and meet us – you can listen to them from the comfort of your own home.

Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35)

Lucy BettsLucy Betts, April 27, 2014
Part of the Grow series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

When have you been on a journey on your own? Was there anything odd or memorable about it? Lucy ask these questions as she unfolds the story of the disciples that meet Jesus on the road to Emmaus, but don't recognise him. They were simply too distracted with everything life had thrown at them over the last few days.

What distracts you from seeing Jesus in your life?

Claire Harris also recalls how blessed she has been all of her life. She also shares the really tough time that she went through and recognises and was able to give thanks for help and support at a devastating time.

Lucy ultimately asks us to go about this week looking for evidence of Jesus in our lives and be prepared to share his love with others.
