Friday the 6th of December and hundreds gathered at Thame Town Hall – keen to get into the Christmas spirit – and the switching on of the Christmas tree lights. Pastor Paddy Harris compered this year’s event and Anita Dobson, former Eastender encouraged by the Mayor of Thame pressed the button to switch the lights on.

Cornerstone ladies organised a fun Swishing event for women of all ages at Christchurch on the 8th of November to link with the Community Hub run by Cornerstone Church. On the night £239 was raised for Helen Douglas House Charity in Thame.

As many slowly stirred from their sleep in the early hours of Saturday morning, people from Cornerstone Thame Baptist Church worked hard to get hundreds of traders successfully parked in preparation for the Thame Food Festival.
Sunday brought with it fantastic weather, the long awaited duck race, but also the first baptisms to be held in the river Thame for many years. A 100-strong crowd gathered in the fields behind the Gibb’s residence and watched as four people from Cornerstone Thame Baptist Church were baptised in the river.
Cornersone volunteers once again flooded into Elms Park this year to support the Music in the Park event 2012.
