Cornerstone offers you a different church experience. Held in a school and run in a café style format it enables you to explore and grow your faith in a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment. Our Pastor, Paddy Harris, is supported by Ulrike Kibble as administrator and a leadership team drawn from the members of the church.
Community is important to us and we work hard to engage with and support the community we live in. Over the last few years we have undertaken litter picks, mobilised a ‘Love Thame’ social action week, carried out numerous community focused events and played a part in the Lighthouse Kids Holiday Club. Our Pastor is regularly involved in schools’ work including leading assemblies and seasonal services and as a church we have helped at the John Hampden School summer Fete and Thame Christmas Lights festival.
Originally launched by Long Crendon Baptist Church, Cornerstone is now an independent church. We work alongside other churches through Thame Churches United to promote and support events in our community. Come along and join us every Sunday in John Hampden School or check out other events we organise in the area. Discover how Cornerstone can help you to engage with church, grow your faith, and help you feel a part of genuine community.
Cornerstone provides a warm welcome wherever you are at when it comes to faith. Whether you want to simply explore Christianity or are looking to deepen and strengthen an existing faith, our church family has a place for you.
Working, living and making a difference in the local community is important to us. Being there for our neighbours, helping those in trouble and playing an active part in local events is what we believe God wants us to do.
It's hard when children find church boring! We've all been there and feel your pain! We work hard at Cornerstone to help children and young people find us engaging and fun; after all Jesus is as far from boring as you can get!
